Sermon structured as a dispute between Jesus and the Jews “ut removerat eis illam superbiam” (pride) that blinded them; it discusses four arguments: "Et primo [Jesus] arguit contra eos propter superbiam quam habebant: 1° propter libertatem maternalem; 2° propter nobilitatem paternalem; 3° propter altitudinem divinalem; 4° propter malitiam criminalem” (f. q7r) Each of this point is analyzed and then folowed by a brief moral teaching for the listeners (moraliter). Albeit this is introduced as a first part, it is indeed the whole sermon. |
