Unde in presenti sermone de ritu grecorum (divina auxiliante gratia) duo declaremus salutaris documenta, scilicet:
Primum grecorum ritus damnationem.
Secundum grecorum fastus propalationem.

Translation: |
Hence in this sermon – with the help of divine grace - we will discuss two salvific lessons about the Greeks’ rite/custom, namely:
First, the damnation of Greeks’ rite/custom.
Second, the growth of the Greeks’ arrogance.
|
After a brief first part in which the main theological mistakes of the Greeks are discussed, the sermon begins a detailed history of twelve divisions between Latin and Greek churches, which will occupy three sermons. The basis is Antoninus' Chronicon . In this sermon there are the first four. |
Summary tabula sermonum: Sabbato ante Reminiscere de damnabili ritu Grecorum negantium purgatorium et principalitatem ecclesie Rhomane, et spiritum sanctum procedere a filio. Fructuosus sermo vigesimus octavus.
