Unde in presenti sermone (favente deo) de scismaricis et grecis duo declaremus salutis documenta, scilicet:
Primum grecorum iustam damnationem.
Secundum ipsorum errorum dignam confutationem.

Hence in this sermon – with the help of God - we will discuss two salvific lessons about the schismatics and the Greeks, namely:
First, the rightful damnation of the Greeks.
Second, the appropriate confutation of their mistakes.

Discussion of the theological mistakes of the Greeks (purgatory; the procession of the Holy Spirit; the primacy of the church of Rome), followed by a series of questions mainly on the sacraments.. In the last part, the sermon continues the presentation of the history of the division between Greeks and the Roman church (see previous sermon) by presenting four more divisions. |
