Unde in presenti sermone de vistorioso bello gratia Dei auxiliante tria declaremus salutis documenta, scilicet:
1) Primum quid habere debeat princeps seu belli motor;
2) Secundum quid agere debeat capitaneus seu campiductor;
3) Tertium quid facere debeat miles seu propugnator.

| Translation: |
Therefore in this sermon about the victorious war we can illustrate (with the help of God's grace) three useful teachings:
1) The first concerning what the prince, i.e. the one who wages war, should have;
2) The second concerning what the captain, i.e. the one who trains the troops, should do;
3) The third concerning what the soldier, i.e. the one who fight, should do.
