Et in hoc quarta, scilicet conterens, religiositas indicatur, de qua triplex mysterium contemplemur:     • primum, de contritionis quidditate;     • secundum, de contritionis qualitate;     • tertium, de contritionis quantitate.

God enters Jerusalem […] when he illumines the conscience with the light of truth, and thus, through the detestation of sins and pure contrition, the whole city of the mind is moved from evil to good […]. Here the fourth form of religiosity is shown, namely the contrite one. Concerning it, let us consider a threefold mystery:     • first, the nature of contrition;     • second, the quality of contrition;     • third, the quantity of contrition.
