Ut ergo quilibet vestrum dum vivit debitam restitutionem opere adimplere possit, peractis his que ad restitutionem fame pertinere videntur, […] nunc de reliquis temporalibus bonis etiam restituendis disseramus. De quibus possumus distinguere triplex debitum quod restitui debet: primum dici potest iniustum; secundum autem turpe; tertium vero illicitum sive alienum.

Therefore, in order that each of you, while he lives, may be able to fulfill in practice the necessary restitution, now that we have completed what pertains to the restitution of reputation, let us turn to the remaining temporal goods that must also be restored. Concerning these, we may distinguish a threefold debt that must be repaid: first, what is unjust; second, what is vile; third, what is unlawful or belongs to another.
