Ad hanc resurrectionem Deo irradiante ut ostendamus viam, quintam religiositatem declaremus ad presens, que est cui homo restituere obligatur […]. Ut ergo clarius intelligatur cui omne debitum, sive iuste sive iniuste acquisitum sit, restitui debeat, tria in ipso debito restituendo consideranda sunt: primo scilicet titulus, secundo peccatum, tertio vero tempus.

In order to show the way to this resurrection, with God’s light guiding us, let us now set forth the fifth form of religiosity, namely to whom a person is bound to make restitution […]. To understand more clearly to whom every debt – whether justly or unjustly acquired – must be restored, we must consider three aspects of the debt to be repaid: first, its title; second, the sin involved; third, the time.
