Hence in this sermon (supported by divine grace) we will reject the mistake of the Jews and confirm the true Christian faith. The mistake of the Jews is chiefly that they deny the true divinity of Christ and the truth of his coming [as messiah]. But we will prove in three ways that Christ is true God and man and the true messiah promised in the Scripture who came truthfully, namely:
First, by Scripture.
Second, by typology [figura].
Third, by rational judgment.
